Textures in a web design have  become a popular trend, replacing the sleek, glossy, and shiny effects  that we commonly refer to as the "Web 2.0" design trend. Working with  textures is difficult, but talented designers worldwide choose this  route to add a depth in their designs and to exemplify their creative  skills.

The beginning of this month my friend start a new website project  for the client, the client required 2008 trend graphics styles like  woody texture or some old paper type graphics touch for unique look.

Don’t we all love textures in web-design? I know I do. In fact I  think we all do here at MediaLoot HQ. So we’ve collected 25 sites that  make great use of textures. Some make use of them in a very obvious way  and textures play a very important role in the site design, while others  and use textures really subtly.

Textures are a great way to give a  special touch to a website. They can be used in a specific part of the  layout – the header/footer, for example, or they can be used in the  whole page as a background. The thing is that textures are versatile,  beautiful and stylish. So here are 50 excellent examples of textures in  web design to inspire you.

Damask is a weaving style or technique that originated in the early  Middle Ages near Damascus, Syria. This particular style typically  produced very ornate and decorative patterns in the fabric. These types  of patterns are wonderful to use in a design that needs to have a  vintage or ornate look.
